Domestic

A nanny or manny (male nanny) from Domestic Staffing will give you peace of mind. Our nannies are concerned about your children, physically, emotionally and intellectually.
Through our extensive application, personal interviews, background screening, reference checking and instinct, we really get to know our nannies well.
We invest the time and resources to find you a nanny best suited to your family. Our goal is to match our nannies with families who share similar parenting styles, and care giving goals and interests for the children. A nanny's primary role is to provide care for the children. Non-child care duties such as light housekeeping, shopping, or preparing family meals may be included in the job description. As the child is the top priority of a nanny's duty these non-child duties should be discussed as to when they should be performed. Most times they can be done when the child is napping or in school. The primary responsibilities of a nanny are:
The nanny might offer:
Having a written agreement between the nanny and the family can help insure that everyone knows the needs and expectations of both sides. We have sample agreements that you can use as a guide, but it is recommended you streamline them to fit your needs. We also recommend you have this agreement in place before the nanny's first day of employment.
Communication is essential between the nanny and the family. We have child daily log sheets the nanny can use to track the day for the family, so everyone knows what has transpired. In addition we urge the family to have a review every few months with the nanny to express any concerns, share praise and discuss any changes that have become necessary.
A typical live-out nanny schedule is a 5 day work week, working approximately 40-55 hours per week. Any overtime should be compensated at time and a half. A live-in nanny should be provided with room and board along with an appropriate salary. Live-in nannies generally work longer hours, so compensation often is the same and sometimes more than a live-out salary. Live-in nannies do not have to paid overtime hours, but are entitled to their hourly rate for every hour they work. All salaries should be discussed and agreed upon. The salary as well as raises should be included in the written agreement to alleviate any problems along the way. Transportation costs, if the nanny is responsible for transporting the children anywhere in her car, should also be discussed and included in the agreement, as well as use of the family car or use of her car on the job.
